Font ResizeAre you looking for an opportunity to give back in the community while juggling a busy schedule? If so, please consider the Groton Senior Center. We have a few different volunteer opportunities available.
We are in need of a permanent meals-on-wheels driver for Thursdays. We are also in need of substitute drivers and kitchen help for the summer or year-round.
The Senior Center sends out meals-on-wheels on Mondays through Thursdays (except holidays). Meals are delivered to the senior center from a caterer and kitchen volunteers warm and package meals so no cooking experience is needed. The time commitment for kitchen volunteers is typically 1.5 hours and 1 hour for drivers.
If the meals program does not interest you, yet you would still like to offer your time, just let us know what your interests are. Sometimes new activities are started by one person, who has a particular interest or hobby, and is willing to share this with others.
