NEW LONDON, N.H. -- Tyler Hendrickson, a resident of Groton, Mass., was awarded the Senior Achievement Award at Sawyer College's Commencement Ceremony on May 5. Hendrickson, who graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration, was recognized for his sustained commitment to enhancing the quality of students' co-curricular life.
Hendrickson was an excellent student and an engaged leader during his college career. He spent three years working as a resident assistant in the residence halls and was an active member of the Sin Free Enterprise organization. As a senator in the Student Government Association, he was a strong representative for students' interests and concerns.
A student development staff member said of Hendrickson, "In his leadership roles, Tyler has enriched our community through his passion and strong interest in governance and students' well-being. If he disagrees with decisions or doesn't understand why they were made, he communicates promptly and directly with those involved. While Tyler may not always receive the response he was hoping for, this does not inhibit him from asking questions and expressing his opinion."
Hendrickson also received the Business Administration's Capstone Award for his senior research project.
