Sunday breakfast

The Ayer Sportsman's Club will hold a Sunday breakfast from Sept. 7 through Mother's Day 2015, 8-11 a.m.

The available menu includes French toast, pancakes, home fries and more, with free coffee and juice. The public is welcome to attend.

Proceeds will benefit children programs sponsored by the club, which is located at 255 Snake Hill Road in Ayer, 978-772-9748.

Farmers markets Thursdays

Shirley Center Farmers Market is held Thursdays, beginning at 4 p.m., on the Shirley Historic Center Common, 3 Parker Road. The market will be open until dusk weekly through Sept. 25.

Movie under the Stars Sept. 13

The Shirley Playboard invites all families in the community to attend a "Movie Under the Stars" behind the Lura A. White Elementary School, at 34 Lancaster Road, on Friday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m. The rain date is Saturday, Sept. 13.

The event is free, with concessions available thanks to Shirley Youth Baseball and Shirley's United Way Youth Venture students. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket and a picnic.

Well adult clinic Sept. 11, 16

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Shirley Board of Health, announces that a Well Adult Clinic will be held on: Thursday, Sept. 11, from 10-11 a.m. at the Senior Center, 9 Parker Road, and Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Shaker Meadows, 32 Harvard Road.
