Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy program that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for reading. It incorporates music, movement, ritual, repetition, positive reinforcement, developmental tips, nursery rhymes, illustrations, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and book reading into a fun-filled 45 minute session for infants to 2-year-olds and caregivers (older siblings also welcome). Ask to be put on the email list for last minute schedule changes.

Popular local favorite Toe Jam Puppet Band is coming to Harvard! Toe Jam offers children's entertainment that families can enjoy together. The unique musical performances are very interactive and theatrical. Audience members of all ages are encouraged to sing and dance along with Toe Jam as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs and interactive storytelling. Get ready for a Car Wash, watch out for the Flying Laundry and be prepared to laugh with glee, Toe Jam style! This show promises to provide quality time laughing together with your family and friends! Please pre-register.

Eureka! Science Stories - All Ages: Tuesday, July 8 at 3:00 PM
Mark Binder - author, story performer, nice guy - will be presenting his special collection of science stories to go with this summer's theme of Fizz, Boom, READ! Mark is a dynamic and funny author and story performer who also occasionally sings a song. Listeners of all ages will enjoy this program, which will keep summer readers laughing and engaged with a fizzy array of energetic stories. Stories range from "How Og Invented Gravity" to Archimedes to other original and traditional stories with a scientific nugget. This program was initially developed with a grant from the US Department of Education. Please pre-register - seats are limited.
Hula Hooping with Pinto Bella - Ages 6 and up: Wednesday, July 9 at 3:00 PM
Pinto (or Katie) of PintoBellaHoops is a Hoopnotica certified and licensed Hula Hoop instructor. We'll learn about the emotional, physical, and social benefits of hula hooping, the different types of hula hoops and their purposes, and get a brief history of the hula hoop. After some brief hula hooping instructions, demonstration, and a short performance of where Hoop Dance can take a performer, the group gets to try hula hooping themselves, while Pinto Bella walks around to give one on one instruction, trouble shooting, and help with new tricks. After the group has all had opportunities to play and hoop around, we take some time for organized games that teach team work and communication with the hoop!
