Well adult clinics in May

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Ayer Board of Health, announces that a well adult clinic will be held free of charge for the general public:

Friday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Senior Center, 18 Pond St., Ayer. No appointment is necessary.

Fridays May 16, 20 and 27, from 9 a.m. to noon at the town nurses office, 51 Cambridge St., Ayer, by appointment only.

Rib Fest May 17

A Rib Fest will be held Saturday, May 17, at 6 p.m. at the Ayer Gun and Sportsmen's Club. All-you-can-eat slow-smoked barbecued pork ribs, corn bread and baked beans will be served.

Tickets are limited and sold in advance. Call 978-772-9748 or email ayergsc@verizon.net. The club is located at 255 Snake Hill Road.

Youth archery clinic May 18

A youth archery clinic sponsored by the Ayer Gun and Sportsmen's Club will be held Sunday, May 18, in two sessions, one from 11 a.m. to noon and the second from noon to 1 p.m. Free to all youths ages 8 to 16. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

This program is designed to foster youth interest in archery and provide a basic knowledge of the sport. All youth archers will be taught basic safety and shooting techniques. All equipment needed for the day will be provided. Come join us and have some fun.

Space is limited to 15 archers per session so please call Barry at 978-204-8277 or the Ayer Gun and Sportsmen's Club at 978-772-9748 to reserve your place.

Friday, June 6th from 3:30 -4:30 p.m. at Carlin's Restaurant, 48 Main St., Ayer. No appointment is necessary.

Friday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to noon, at the Senior Center, 18 Pond St., Ayer. No appointment is necessary.
