Start jogging this spring

Are you looking for a fun way to start jogging this spring? In preparation for the May 18 Janis Bresnahan 5k Run for Education, come join us this Saturday at the Ayer Shirley High School Track for this Saturday's 8:45 a.m. warm-up stretch and 9 a.m. run/jog through the 5k Road Race route. We meet every Saturday with last group run on May 17 before the Sunday, May 18 road race. All are welcome and group runs are free and open to the public.

Pack 32 Ayer Pancake Breakfast April 26

Pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage and home fries will abound at the annual Tyler-Harrington Memorial Campership Breakfast taking place at St. Andrew's Church, 7 Faulkner St., in Ayer, on Saturday, April 26, from 7-11 a.m.

Ticket sales ($5 in advance from a Pack 32 Cub Scout or $7 at the door) will benefit the Tyler-Harrington Memorial Campership Fund, which helps give local Scouts who might otherwise miss out on summer camp a chance to participate.

Louis Collins Fishing Derby, April 26, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 255 Snake Hill Road, Ayer.

Stocked ponds, no license required, bait available. 10 tagged fish and other prizes. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Adults $14; kids 10 and under, $6. Family: $35.

Annual Town Election, Monday, April 28, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Town Hall.

Ayer Childcare Program Spaghetti Supper April 30

The Ayer Childcare Program is holding its 12th Annual Spaghetti Supper on Wednesday, April 30, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Page Hilltop School, 115 Washington Street, Ayer. There will also be a raffle and a silent auction during the evening.

The Ayer Childcare Program offers Before and After School Programs and Vacation Camps for children in the the Ayer Shirley Regional School District. Proceeds from the fundraiser supper will be used to help defray costs for enrichment programs, field trips, transportation, and special events.

Lions Club holds all you can eat spaghetti supper April 30

The Ayer Shirley Lions Club will host its annual spaghetti supper on Wednesday, April 30, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Ayer Gun and Sportsman Club, 255 Snake Hill Road, Ayer. The menu will consist of spaghetti, meat balls, salad, bread & butter and dessert, all for only $10 for adults, $6 for children (10 and under) and for seniors (60+) and active military with an CAC.

There will be a 50/50 raffle as well as items donated by local businesses.

Enjoy us for a great meal and support the Lions. All proceeds for this event will go to the local charities.

27th Annual Scholarship Spaghetti Supper In memory of loved ones lost, May 1

...sponsored by the ASRHS Student Council, May 1, 5-7 p.m., Ayer Shirley Regional High School Cafe.

Tickets $5 adults, $2 under 12, under 5 free.

Tickets can be purchased in advance from a Student Council member or at the door.

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Ayer Board of Health, announces that a well adult clinic will be held free of charge for the general public:

Friday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Senior Center, 18 Pond St., Ayer. No appointment is necessary.

Fridays May 2, 9, 16, 20 and 27, from 9 a.m. to noon at the town nurses office, 51 Cambridge St., Ayer, by appointment only.
