Groton Garden Club's annual plant sale May 10

The first day of spring has just arrived, the green buds are poking through last fall's leaves and some early bushes have hints of the flowers-to-come on their branches. This marks the start of the Groton Garden Club's preparations for their Annual Plant Sale, scheduled for Saturday, May 10, from 8:30 to 12 noon at the Groton Town Hall. Again this year, the club will feature a selection of plants ideal for shady areas, as well as those that flourish in sunny spots. Members of the club will be happy to assist in the selection of the best plants for your specific locations.

The wide variety of perennial plants are grown in Groton in club member's gardens, and transplanted especially for this annual sale. An excellent selection of herbs and special heirloom tomatoes will also be available.

The Plant Sale is the day before Mother's Day so you have the chance to pick out a gift of perennials that will return to Mom's garden year after year.

Proceeds from this sale are used for the Club's many beautification projects in Groton

The sale is very popular so be sure to come at opening time. Early birds are invited to wait outside the area until the 'opening bell at 8:30'.

If you'd like your event to appear on The Posting Board, please send to editor@nashobapub.com.
