LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College student Jackie Ordemann, of Groton, delivered a researched-based presentation at this year's Mount David Summit, the college's annual campus-wide celebration of student academic achievement held in late March.

Ordemann, who is majoring in biological chemistry at Bates, delivered a presentation titled "Motorcycle Safety in Rural Thailand." Her research was supervised by Stephen Sawyer, director of the off-campus study program at Bates.

Ordemann, the daughter of Robert J. Ordemann and Pauline V. Saunders of Groton, is a 2011 graduate of Groton-Dunstable Regional High School.
