Judges Needed for the Library's Annual LEGO Expo on Saturday, March 1!
Adult judges with expertise as architects, carpenters, engineers, designers, artists, LEGO experts, etc. are needed for all age groups. Judges may volunteer to judge just one age group, or may volunteer to judge at two or even three age groups. Come witness the awesome creativity of Harvard's children!

Infant Storytime ~ Mother Goose on the Loose (no sign-up) - Ages 0 - 2 and up: Mondays & Thursdays at 10:30
Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy program that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for reading. It incorporates music, movement, ritual, repetition, positive reinforcement, developmental tips, nursery rhymes, illustrations, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and book reading into a fun-filled 45 minute session for infants to 2-year-olds and caregivers (older siblings also welcome). Ask to be put on the email list for last minute schedule changes.
Art & Stories for 4's & 5's (7 week session begins 2/24 ~ pre-registration required) - Ages 4 & 5+: Mondays at 2:00
This 30 to 45 minute program, appropriate for children ages 4 to 7, begins with a few longer picturebook stories, then ends with a process art project that encourages preschoolers to explore art materials in an open-ended, creative manner.
Lego Expo ~ Saturday, March 1: 10:30 - 11:30: Ages 3 to 5; 12:30 - 1:30: Ages 6 to 8; 2:30 - 3:30: Ages 9 to 12 AND Teen Category (13 - 18) AND Adult Category (18+)
Don't miss the library's 6th Annual Lego Expo! Participants bring constructions of their own design to the Expo to share with others and to be judged. Please pre-register in the Children's Room; construction guidelines available in the Children's Room. Due to space limitations, the Lego Expo is open only to Harvard residents and children who attend school in Harvard. Snow date for the Expo is Saturday, March 15.
Game Hour & Chess Club - Grades 3 to 6: Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00
This drop-in, after school program for children in grades 3 to 6 is facilitated by teen volunteers. Play an assortment of great games, including Set, Scrabble, Mille Bornes, Apples to Apples, Slamwich, Quiddler, Hoopla, and, of course, Chess!
