Craft overstock sale

The Friends of the Townsend Library are now accepting donations for their second annual CRAFT OVERSTOCK sale! We will take any unused supplies!

Fabric, Paint, paper, scrap-booking materials, etc...

The sale will be held on Saturday Feb.. 22 and Sunday Feb. 23. More details to follow!

Donations can be dropped off in the Children's Room.

Kill-o-watt meter

The Library now has a Kill-O-Watt meter! You can borrow it with your library card -- three-week week loan. Ask at the library for more details!

The Eclectic Book Club

This is a book club for people who love to read everything and anything! Each month we will read a unique or quirky book! Anything goes...This month's selection will be "The Rosie Project" by Greame Simsion. Stop by the library and pick up a copy!

The Nonfiction Book Club

Townsend Public Library's nonfiction book group meets each month to discuss books about all kinds of topics: current events, education, politics, society, and anything else.

This month's selection is "Garbology" by Edward Humes.

This Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist takes readers on a surprising tour of America's biggest export, our most prodigious product, and our greatest legacy: our trash.

Well adult clinic in Ashby Feb. 20

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Ashby Board of Health, announces that a Well Adult Clinic will be held free of charge for the general public on Thursday, Feb.. 20, from noon to 1 p.m. at the American Legion, 361 New Ipswich Road. When not busy with the tribute band BEATLES FOR SALE, solo performances showcase vocals accompanied by a six-string acoustic guitar. Ham dinner Feb. 22

Townsend Congregational Church invites you to enjoy a Ham Dinner with homemade desserts on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 5-6:30 p.m. Tickets, available at the door, are $10 for adults and $4 for children ages 3 through 8. As always, children under 3 eat free! Dinners are also available for take-out.
