Partnering for a better response: 8-9:30 a.m., 33 Andrews Parkway, Devens. Guest speaker will share how we can partner with the American Red Cross to help them better respond to the daily need for more than 41,000 blood donations. They also provide comfort kits to displaced adults and kids. Let's partner by collecting toiletries, small toys, coloring books and crayons in our firms until Jan. 30. We will also explore ways to partner with our neighbor facilities to better respond to needs for emergency shelter, contract services, employee training and more.

Cross-industry job fair: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Devens Common Center, Andrews Parkway, Devens. North Central Career Center and Career Center of Greater Lowell will be offering a workshop prior to the job fair, "Preparing for a Job Fair." These workshops are free to attend with pre-registration. Job seekers can register by calling Leominster Career Center at 978-534-1481 or Lowell Career Center at 978-970-3340. Job seekers will meet representatives from a diverse blend of local businesses, government contractors and federal agencies. There is no fee for job seekers to attend. Applicants should bring at least 10 copies of their resume and be dressed ready to interview.

Livingston Taylor Benefit Concert: 6 p.m., Performing Arts Center (Groton-Dunstable Middle School), 344 Main St., Groton. Masons breakfast: The Ayer Masonic Association will hold its monthly fund raising breakfast at the Ayer Masonic Center, 11 Sculley Road, Ayer, from 7:30-10 a.m. Menu includes eggs cooked to order or pancakes with bacon or sausage, potatoes, toast, juice, and coffee plus specials for this month -- Eggs Benedict and a cheeseburger omelet with onion and bacon. Come early and bring your friends.

Annual Scout Sunday: St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Ayer, 10 a.m., inter-generational service about the importance of worship to Jesus and his family. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are invited to attend in their uniforms and participate in the service. Each scout will be awarded a badge. Please note that child care is available in the nursery starting at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday. St. Andrew's is located at 7 Faulkner St., across the tracks from the Town Hall. The Rev. Open rehearsals: To commemorate our 30th season, for our May Pops concert the Acton Community Chorus will perform songs that have won Emmies, Oscars, Golden Globes, etc. since the founding of the chorus. If you love to sing, you are welcome to attend our second open rehearsal Feb. 3 to sing with us, meet chorus members and learn about the chorus. Then we invite you to become a member and perform with us at this fun-filled Standing Ovations concert scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 30, 31, at the Boxborough Holiday Inn. 'Flapper' at CDS: Country Day School of the Holy Union drama club will be performing "Flapper," a musical comedy set in the Roaring 20s on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m., and Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the school. Tickets can be bought at the door for $5.
