Blues musician to perform at Lawrence Library Jan. 18

The Lawrence Library welcomes local musician Arthur James for a night of blues from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18. James has been a fixture of the New England blues scene since the '80s. A multiple winner of the Granite State Blues Challenge, James has shared the stage at festivals and clubs with a who's who of the New England blues world. He plays an uptempo style of acoustic blues that incorporates soulful vocals, passionate guitar work, and a smidgen of irreverence.

Maple Dene and Moppet School Open House Jan. 25

The Maple Dene and Moppet School will be having their mid-winter Open House on Saturday, Jan. 25, (snow date Sunday, Jan. 26) from 10 a.m. to noon. The school is located at 83 Hollis St., Pepperell. Parents and children will have an opportunity to tour the historic school buildings and meet with the directors and teachers, as well as students and parents of the school. Moppet and Maple Dene School programs include Preschool, Before and After School Care, Summer Camp, and Elementary School for Kindergarten through Grade Six students.

The school has been providing quality educational services for area families and children since 1984.

Well adult clinic Feb. 5, 19

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Pepperell Board of Health, announces that a Well Adult Clinic will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5 and 19, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Senior Center on Senior Center Road (off 37 Nashua Road Route 111). NMS band program announces evening dance show March 22

The Nissitissit Middle School's band program has organized an evening dance show on Saturday, March 22, at the school, open to the public. Show time is 7-8 p.m.

This is a 50-50 fundraiser for the Pepperell Parents Pro Musica, the NMS Band parent group, and JaredsFight.org, (www.jaredsfight.org), an organization to raise funds for Sanfilippo Syndrome research.

Area dance group Phunk Phenomenon will perform. Come enjoy an evening of HipHop as Phunk Phenomenon Urban Dance Crews perform. Tickets $10 advance purchase; $12 at the door.
