PEPPERELL -- Registered Democrats in Pepperell will be holding a caucus at the Charles F. Lawrence Library at 15 Main St., on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. to elect six delegates and three alternates to the 2014 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Delegates will be divided equally between men and women.
The convention will be held on Friday, June 13, and Saturday, June 14, at the DCU Center in Worcester. Nominations will be made for six statewide constitutional offices.
The caucus is open to all Democrats registered in Pepperell as of Jan. 31. Those not elected as delegates and/or alternates, who meet the qualifications, may apply to be add-on delegates in the following categories: youth, minority and disabled.
Discrimination on the basis of race, sex, age, color, creed, national origin, religion, ethnic identity, sexual orientation or economic status in the conduct of the caucus is strictly prohibited.
The Charles F. Lawrence Library is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
