Senior Center Hosts the Singing Trooper

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, noon, the Groton Senior Center will be hosting a luncheon at the Groton Country Club with entertainment by the Singing Trooper.

A Massachusetts and Fenway favorite, Sgt. Daniel M. Clark, known as "The Singing Trooper," has performed in uniform while representing the Commonwealth of Massachusetts during his 20-year career. During this tenure with the State Police he performed at more than 2,500 events for federal, state, local and military functions.

He has also performed 26 foreign national anthems, in native dialect, for visiting dignitaries and sporting events. In addition, for five years he could be heard on "Radio Disney" as "Trooper Dan," promoting safety for children.

Lunch will be chicken parmesan prepared and served by Nashoba Tech Vocational High School culinary students. Cost for the event is $10 (with optional tip). Please make your reservation by calling the center, 978-448-01170.
