About Laura McKenzie

Laura is a former 4-H leader from Watertown, Massachusetts, where she ran a 4-H club called the "Rabbit Habit," for over nine years. Laura and her family moved to Brookline, N.H., two years ago.

Laura's daughter (a former 4-H youth) enrolled in the well-known Great Scotts 4-H club of Massachusetts in 2003. Laura and her family have also worked as volunteers at the Topsfield Fair as members of the ECR&CBA for over 10 years. Rabbits and small animals have been a part of their lives for nearly two decades.

Mrs. McKenzie had a community service program along with 4-H to help local youths be a part of a safe, fun environment where they may not have had a chance to interact with animals when residing in Watertown. Laura also opened her rabbitry to local schools and worked alongside science classes. Regular field trips were conducted to help educate children in animal husbandry.
