AYER -- You are invited to come and see what Relay For Life is all about as the Ayer Relay will take place tonight and tomorrow, June 21 and 22, at Ayer Shirley Regional High School.
Have fun and enjoy the festivities, all while making a difference in the fight against cancer. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend between the hours of 6-11 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. to noon Saturday.
A Day of Drawing tent (Chinese auction) will be available with a wide variety of prizes. There will be more than 50 items to choose from, something for everyone. The drawing will be at noon on Saturday and you do not need to be present to win. Ticket sales end at 10 a.m.
Also, a Relay store will have a large inventory of relay gear for purchase -- shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, tote bags and many, many other items, all very reasonably priced.
There will be games and activities during the entire Relay immediately following the Survivor Lap, which will occur at approximately 6 p.m. If you have a friend, family member or acquaintance that has suffered from cancer or given care to a survivor, this is an event that will touch your heart.
Vesta Mobile Wood-Fired Pizza, of Shirley, and The Slush Lady, of Pepperell, will be available from 5-9 p.m. Friday night.
