Kim Costa, owner of Bodylines Pilates Studio in Harvard, recommends a delicious smoothie to start your day with or to have as a mid-day snack. A healthy "meal in a glass" that's high in vitamins and minerals, iron, antioxidants and protein. Here's to your health!
Healthy Smoothie
1/2 cup organic baby spinach
1/4 cup strawberries, frozen or fresh (washed)
1/4 cup blueberries, frozen or fresh (washed)
1 tablespoon organic almond butter
Pure vanilla extract
1/8 cup Trader Joe's frozen goji berries
Water
In a blender, add spinach, raspberries and blueberries, blend on high speed until smooth. Next, add almond butter, vanilla and goji berries and blend to incorporate. Add a little water if drink is too thick.
