WESTFORD -- The Continuing Community Education Department of Nashoba Tech will offer career training classes which will lead to health care positions in medical and dental fields this fall.
The Health Assisting class consists of 75 classroom and clinical hours preparing students to sit for the state C.N.A. license. Classes run on Monday and Wednesday evening.
Dental Assisting will offer a 40-hour overview preparing the candidates for entry-level positions in the dental office. Upon completion, candidates will have an understanding of administrative, scheduling, medical records, the proper handling and use of dental tools and safety and sanitation.
CPR classes will also be offered in conjunction with a "Better Babysitting" certificate. There are two programs available, one for students from age 11 to 18 and another specifically for adults who would like more information on a career in Child Development. Students may also choose to simply take the CPR certification program as a standalone class. Successful complete will result in a Red Cross CPR Certification or re-certification.
For information on this and other classes offered to adults at NVTHS, contact Joann Sueltenfuss, director of Continuing Community Education at 978-6924711 x1001 or at email@example.com.
