GROTON -- 3Rivers Arts invites the public to join us for Open Stage, our first local talent revue on Sunday, Aug. 26, at 3 p.m. at the gazebo behind the Groton Public Library, 99 Main St. This is the first event sponsored by our newly formed theatre company, the Tributary Players. This event is open to the public. A $5 donation is suggested, to benefit Tributary Players' upcoming programming.
Bring a blanket and a picnic and relax on the common as your friends and neighbors take the stage to perform songs, dance and more. Meet the Tributary Players' organizers and get more information about the company and how to get involved.
"We decided to launch The Tributary Players as a way for community performers to come together to do what we love," says co-director, Jill Sauvageau. "The name of our company honors the convergence of actors and other stage performers from the three rivers in our region: the Nashua, Nissitissit and Squannacook. We are excited for the regional community to join us in this exciting new venture!"
There is still time to join us on stage as a performer. Rehearsals started the week of Aug. 6. Contact Sauvageau (jill@3riversarts.com) for information. This is a free opportunity for local performing artists to get practice and public exposure.
