AYER -- North Middlesex Savings Bank has announced the hiring of William Greene as its newest mortgage lender. A licensed loan originator with more than 13 years experience in the mortgage industry, he is responsible for representing the bank within the Cape Cod and Islands markets.
Greene brings a proven track record of helping customers make their dreams of home ownership a reality, having worked at several mortgage companies prior to joining North Middlesex Savings Bank in July.
"During his career, Bill has demonstrated a remarkable talent for finding mortgages that fit the needs of individual homeowners and homebuyers," said North Middlesex Savings Bank's President and Chief Executive Officer Walter J. Dwyer IV. "He's regularly been recognized as a top lender in his past positions, and he clearly has developed a network of valuable resources that will now be available to our customers. Bill is sure to be a tremendous addition to our mortgage team."
"My passion is in helping my clients realize the dream of home ownership," Greene explains. "I began as a loan originator and worked my way up to owning my own mortgage company, but being in upper management didn't allow me to focus on what I enjoy most about this business. When the opportunity to join North Middlesex Savings Bank came about, I didn't hesitate to become part of the team."
Originally from Billerica, Greene is the son of retired House of Representatives member Bill Greene, who served nine terms representing the 22nd Middlesex District.
An avid "foodie," Greene was on a first-place team for its ribs in a national barbecue competition in Douglas, GA, and has twice taken first-place at the Annual Martha's Vineyard Chili contest. When not at work, he enjoys playing competitive ice hockey and off-shore fishing.
