DEVENS -- SpringHill Suites at Devens has again partnered with regional Youth Arts Center ArtsNashoba to present an event that's all about students and their artwork.
After the success of the first event in October of last year, a second event has been added to hopefully include additional schools that were not able to participate last fall. On June 3, join schools and individuals from around the Nashoba Valley for ArtNight'14, a full exhibit of artworks created entirely by young people. Drawings, paintings, murals, sculpture - it'll all be on display for all to see at this Open House Event from 6-8 p.m. in the hotel lobby and guest amenity rooms. Refreshments will be available at this family-friendly event, open to the public.
"It's such a wonderful opportunity to showcase the works of students throughout the Nashoba Valley," said ArtsNashoba Executive Director JulieAnn Govang. "There's such a wealth of talent out there, in this case in the visual arts. Providing this venue through which the public can share in that wealth is in the true spirit of community involvement."
As coordinating partners, ArtsNashoba has connected with multiple schools throughout the Nashoba Valley in an effort to include as many schools and organizations involved as possible in the exhibit. Director of Sales of the Devens Conference Center Laura Hume noted, "We've had ArtNight here at the hotel previously, but we wanted to refocus our scope to include the youth in our community."
Reaching out to every public, private and parochial school they could find, ArtsNashoba spread the word and invites to all of the superintendents, principals and art teachers from Tyngsboro to Westford to Bolton to Lancaster and beyond. If you would like to participate as an exhibitor, email JulieAnn@artsnashoba.org or call 978-772-2545.
