LOWELL -- The Lowell Historical National Park Visitor Center will hold the world premiere of "Memories for Sale" this Saturday at a private screening.

The 30-minute short film was written by local playwright Jerry Bisantz, who adapted it from his award-winning play of the same name. It tells the story of a young writer from Lowell who collaborates with his hero to write a book, but who is told that he has to include some of the hero's dirty secrets in order for it to be published.

"Memories for Sale," which was directed by Christian DeRezendes, was shot in an office at the Pollard Building over the course of two days in September. The Lowell Cultural Council financed $2,000 of the $10,000 budget, the rest of which was funded by private donors.
