Day of ballet: Enjoy a perfect day of ballet fun for the budding dancers and story lovers in your family at 11 a.m. when ballerinas from Harvard Academy of Dance take center stage at the Lawrence Library, 15 Main St. Author David Ira Rottenberg will read his picture book, "Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig," while the dancers perform the story. As an added treat, a mini-movement lesson will be offered to the children in the audience after the performance and Rottenberg will sign copies of his book.
Celtic Music with Kip Ferguson: 7 p.m. Kip Ferguson is known for his commanding stage presence, strong vocals and lively sense of humor. His repertoire includes traditional Celtic and English ballads as well as original folk songs. Free and open to the public; light refreshments sponsored by the Friends of the Library, coffee provided by Starbucks Coffee, Nashua, NH.
The Screening Room: 7:30 p.m., Historic Groton Grange Hall, 80 Champney St. Join us as the curtain goes up for the film "The Untouchables." In this compelling story based on true events, affluent quadriplegic, Phillipe, hires Driss, a Parisian petty criminal, to be his caregiver. The two form an unexpected bond that changes both their lives. The Untouchables was nominated for numerous honors and awards including a Golden Globe, among others. Rated R, in French with subtitles. Admission is free, however, donations are gladly accepted. Refreshments are available. Groton

Lego Club: 5 p.m., Lawrence Library. Build a castle, see how tall you can stack a tower, or create whatever your imagination can dream up! Lego club will be held on the third Tuesday of every month and is open to all ages. You don't have to stay for the whole club if you don't want to -- we're just here to have fun.

Movie Night -- The Hobbit: an Unexpected Journey: 5-8 p.m., Lawrence Library. Journey to Middle Earth and enjoy pizza and a movie on the big screen. Free, thanks to the Friends of the Library! This program is intended for middle and high school students. Rated PG-13, 169 minutes.

This program provides financial assistance to low income households to help with heating bills throughout the winter season. When you book your appointment, be sure to ask what you need for documentation prior to your appointment. The Senior Center's front desk has the list and will be glad to assist you.
