Woman's Club meets: The Groton Woman's Club will hold its monthly meeting at the Union Congregational Church, 220 Main St. The luncheon starting at 11:30 a.m. will be followed by a brief business meeting and the program. Steve Whiting, chef/instructor at Nashoba Valley Technical High School, will speak on "In the 1900's Kitchen: Food of the Era." This topic is in keeping with the club's theme this year, which is the celebration of its 100th anniversary. Hostess chairmen for the luncheon are Jill McCaffrey and Lori McElroy. Groton Democrats to hold caucus and meet Feb. 2
Democrats in Groton will hold a caucus to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party's 2013 Platform Convention on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. at Groton Town Hall, 173 Main St.
All registered Democrats in Groton are eligible to participate. Groton will elect six delegates and three alternates divided equally between men and women.
The Groton Democratic Town Committee will hold its meeting after the caucus adjourns at about 3 p.m.
