On Wednesday, Nov. 14, at approximately 7 a.m., Townsend Fire EMS responded to a report of a single car motor vehicle crash on Emery Road with injury. On the arrival of Townsend Fire's ambulance, they reported that two of the occupants were out of the vehicles and one was trapped inside and will need to be extricated. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the occupant from the vehicle. Townsend Fire's ambulance transported the entrapped occupant to Leominster Hospital. Lunenburg Fire's ambulance transported the other two occupants to Leominster Hospital. All injured passengers had non-life threatening injuries.

All crews were clear of the scene by 8 a.m.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Townsend Police Department.
