TOWNSEND -- Join the Friends of the Townsend Library for its fall book sale at the Townsend Meeting Hall, 12 Dudley Road. The dates and times are Friday, Sept. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 23, from noon to 2 p.m. ($1 a bag sale). All proceeds go directly to library programming.
