Marrow Registry in Still River: All are welcome to join the Marrow Registry from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Holy Trinity Parish on 15 Still River Road, Harvard. Dana Farber Cancer Institute professionals will be on hand as well as Camp Sunshine volunteers, who will help to organize the drive. All it takes is a cheek swab to join the bone marrow registry. Enjoy classical choral music? Then join us for open rehearsals Sept. 10, 17, and 24 to see if we are the group you have been looking for. The Nashoba Valley Chorale is a non-audition SATB chorus that performs under the artistic leadership of director Anne Watson Born.

Nashoba Valley Medical Center hosts free medical seminar
Are Thyroid Nodules a Serious Health Problem?
Nashoba Valley Medical Center is offering a "Meet the Expert" medical seminar on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the hospital.
The seminar, presented by Roshney Jacob, MD, will focus on defining thyroid nodules and identifying their malignant potential. Dr. Roshney will discuss how nodules are evaluated and give a brief overview on the management of thyroid cancer. Dr. Roshney is an endocrinologist at Nashoba Valley Medical Center's Diabetes and Endocrine Center. She specializes in diabetes, metabolic disorders, and numerous endocrine issues including thyroid, pituitary and adrenal dysfunction.
"Meet the Expert" is a monthly program offered at Nashoba Valley Medical Center. All lectures are free and open to the general public. A 1.0 contact hour will be awarded to health care professionals at the completion of the presentation. Registration is required by calling 978-784-9204 or by email to rosanna.casavecchia@steward.org. Ayer Rotary Club chicken BBQ Saturday, Sept. 15
The Ayer Rotary will hold its annual Senior Citizen's Chicken BBQ at the Devens Community Center located next to Rogers' field on Devens. This event is free to the seniors in Ayer, Devens, Harvard and Ayer. There are no reservations needed.

The Hollis Arts Society will hold a reception for artists Judy Holder and JoAnne Gauthier, at the RE/MAX Properties Gallery, 2 Ash St., Hollis, N.H., on Thursday, Sept. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public with refreshments and music. Both of the artists will be there to discuss their work and answer any questions.
