Commuter Rail Station track work resulting in bussing between So. Acton and Fitchburg

Fitchburg Line

Temporary Platform ~ South Acton

Beginning Thursday, Sept. 13, a temporary platform will be placed in service to facilitate the construction of the new South Acton Station.

The temporary platform is located on the Outbound end of the existing station.

There is a paved walkway providing access to the temporary platform.

Because of necessary track work at South Acton Station on Saturday, Sept. 15 and Sunday, Sept. 16, passengers will be bussed between South Acton and Fitchburg and between Fitchburg and South Acton.

NOTE: Because of construction at South Acton Station, the South Acton Station platform will be closed. Customers boarding and deboarding at South Acton Station will be accommodated at a temporary platform that is located approximately 1000 feet beyond the Inbound end of the station on the other side of the Route 27 overhead bridge.

Inbound passengers of trains 1402/2402, 1406/2406, 1408/2408, 1410/2420, 1412/2412 and 1414/2416 will be bussed between Fitchburg and South Acton.

Outbound passengers of trains 1405/2405, 1407/2407, 1409/2409, 1411/2411, 1413/2413 and 1415/2415 will be bussed between South Acton and Fitchburg..

Delays of up to 30 minutes may occur. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary track work may cause.
