LOS ANGELES (AP) — The family of a mother whose actor husband is charged with killing her says they are focused on caring and providing for her three sons.
April Jace's family released a statement Thursday thanking supporters for their prayers and financial contributions and saying their priority is caring for her sons, who are ages 5, 8 and 18. They are continuing to seek donations for the boys, two of whom were at home when police say actor Michael Jace shot his wife to death on May 19.
The statement calls her death a "senseless act of domestic violence."
Michael Jace was arrested at the home and later charged with murder. He is due back in court for arraignment on June 18.
