CONCORD -- On Saturday, May 3, the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary will host its Reflections in Bloom Art and Flower Show. The event will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Powers Gallery, a premiere art resource housed in a historic antique home located at 144 Great Road in Acton.

Spring will be in full bloom with fresh floral creations by local designers, inspired by the gallery's latest fine art collection. Also featured is a unique opportunity to watch artists Jean Lightman and Harley Bartlett create original paintings, which will be offered in a live auction. The elegant evening includes catered hors d'oeuvres, a raw bar by Quarterdeck Seafoods, wine and a silent auction. Entertainment by Shane Wood Music is generously sponsored by the Concord Health Care Center.

Tickets for this fun-filled evening cost $50 per person, or $80 per patron. For reservations, contact Karen McCarthy at 978-371-2133 or mccarthypp@aol.com; or Laurie Moulis at 978-568-1914 or lauriemoulis@gmail.com.

Powers Gallery is pleased to donate 15 percent of the evening's art sales to the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary. Proceeds from the event will benefit many hospital programs, including cardiac rehabilitation, the Employee Emergency Assistance Fund, nursing education and mentorship programs, the pediatric intervention team and specialized transport equipment.

The Emerson Hospital Auxiliary supports the hospital through community awareness, patient support and fundraising activities. Anyone interested in becoming a member or learning about the Auxiliary may contact Karen McCarthy at 978-371-2133.
