The DPW is making every effort to repair potholes as soon as possible. There will, on occasion, be potholes that will reappear in the same spot and some that we may be missed on side roads.

If you see a pothole that needs attention you can assist the DPW by reporting it to the office during normal business hours by calling, 978-772-8240, or by using the new Smart Phone App -- Commonwealth Connect. You may also email: dpw@ayer.ma.us at any time.

Please give an exact location as best as possible (house number, street intersection, telephone pole number etc.).

The DPW Office will record the location and time of the call and schedule the highway repair crew to fill the pothole as soon as possible (weather permitting).

During this time of the season, crews are out daily to attend to these problems within 24-48 hours.

If it is an emergency and after normal DPW business hours then notify the Police Department which will dispatch an emergency crew.

When warmer weather arrives, all road repairs will be permanently patched with normal hot-mix asphalt.
