AYER -- The Ayer Police were called Friday, Feb. 22 at 7:45 p.m. by a resident who reported that their motor vehicle was being driven by an acquaintance without the owner's permission. Two hours later, Ayer Police Officer Richard Krasinskas spotted the vehicle being driven by the woman in question and made a stop.
Gina Marie Tankersley, 30, of Maynard was arrested for use of a motor vehicle without authority (second offense) and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense).
Tankersley also is the subject of three other arrest warrants not related to the Ayer stop, including two warrants out of Concord District Court (one for use of a vehicle without authority and driving after license suspension, and another for larceny over $250) and a third warrant out of Somerville District Court (two counts of assault and battery).
