They had record attendance in May! Residents enjoyed the opportunity to properly dispose their toxic waste safely and easily. Average wait times were 3 minutes, so it is an easy in and easy out operation. They are open on the first Wednesday and following Saturday from 9 to noon. Find out more at www.DevensHHW.com.

The town of Ayer, through its Department of Community & Economic Development, will conduct a Public Hearing Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. in the first floor meeting room in Town Hall, to provide an update to and receive input on activities to be considered for the town's FY13 application.

We will also give updates on the town's FY10 EDF grant (used to rehabilitate the Fletcher Building) and the ongoing FY11 CDBG grant (used for housing rehabilitation and Pond Street infrastructure).
