In accordance with the conditions of the Water Management Act Permits issued to the Devens Utility Department by the Massachusetts DEP, Devens shall implement the following mandatory water restrictions on outdoor water use effective immediately:

No nonessential outdoor water use is allowed

between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.

Nonessential water use is defined as the following:

-- Irrigation of lawns via sprinklers or automatic irrigation systems

-- Washing of vehicles, except in a commercial car wash

-- Washing of exterior building surfaces, parking lots, driveways, except as necessary to apply surface treatments such as paint, preservatives or cement.
