GROTON -- The Groton Farmers Market will host a special Thanksgiving market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Williams Barn, 160 Chicopee Row.
Many of the market's regular seasonal vendors, including Kirk Farm, Chad Spicza, Tully Farm and Drema Cady, will supply vegetables such as squash, pumpkins, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, kale and even a few surprises, such as fresh local cranberries.
Herbs from J. Gilson Greenhouses; honey, chutneys, jellies and preserves from Common View Farm; granola from Golden Girl Granola; and pies from Wilkins Farm will be available, as well as bagels from Bagel Alley, Williams Barn crackers and hermits, and apples from Autumn Hills Orchard.
In addition, seasonal items made in Groton and suitable for gift-giving will be for sale, such as Luina Greine Alpaca products, Heather Wilson's hand silk-screened apparel, Flo Gilson's baby sets, Little Acres Farm's goats milk soap and hand cream, Lori Sullivan's calendars and cards, and Diane Stangroom's hand-made boxes. Wines from Still River Winery and Zoll's will complete your holiday table.
Hot cider, doughnuts and chili will be available to keep you warm while you shop. There will also be a drawing of local gift and food items to make Thanksgiving Day complete.
