My name is Jessica Thomson. I am a Girl Scout working on my Gold Award. The Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. It is equivalent to the Boy Scout's Eagle Scout rank.

My project, Knit for the Gold, is to teach people how to knit and in the process make hats and scarves to be handed out to the people served by the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Homeless Shelter.

I am hoping to collect 100 knit items (hats, scarves, etc). I am hosting a knitting group (crocheters, too!) at Lawrence Library. We meet in the History Room every second and fourth Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.

All are welcome, and for those who don't know how to knit, we have some great teachers, including myself. We also have plenty of yarn and needles to share.
