MOVIE SCREENING OF GIRL RISING (PG-13) May 23

Filmmaker Richard Robbins, working with the nonprofit 10x10, follows nine girls from all over the world as they face tragic injustice. Each one of the girls has teamed up with an accomplished writer from their country who helps them tell their poignant and inspiring stories. The film focuses on the power and importance of girls' education around the world and sheds light on the unfortunate lack of women's education; 66 million girls across the world do not have the chance to go to school.

All community members are welcome although it is suggested those under the age of 13 bring a parent with them. Admission is free! Come watch an inspiring movie in the comfort of Bromfield's Cronin Auditorium at 7 p.m.
